Deb Dullen
President & CEO
Deborah is the co-founder of the BioTraceIT™ team, formed in 2014. She brings over twenty years of experience in both the biotech and medical device fields with expertise in business development, sales, R&D, and global market entry. Deborah has a broad background from devices with J&J DePuy-Synthes to pharmaceutical, proteomics and genomics with Applied Biosystems and Eli Lilly.
Working with thousands of sales individuals she has participated and led multiple product launches and developed market strategies resulting in blockbuster products and a broad global business network. Deb has founded other successful start-ups, including Imtakt Corporation, a top research consumable company in Asia-Pacific. Deb’s thoughts about medical device start-ups, “Nothing good comes easy, but my whole career has been in healthcare and helping others is worth it.”
Ralph C Harvey, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVAA, UTCVM
Chair of Animal Scientific Advisory Board
Dr. Ralph Harvey is focused on the objective assessment of pain as Chairman of the BioTraceIT Veterinary Advisory Board working closely with fellow thought leaders. He is certified as a specialist by the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia, and works as a consultant in practice and industry promoting best medicine, including Fear Free practices, and new advances in patient care. Ralph is recently retired from the faculty of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where he taught anesthesia, pain management, and related topics for 33 years. Ralph often says his work at BioTraceIT, and realizing the power of its revolutionary products, is why he chose to retire… and we like to believe that is true! Ralph also serves the community as a member of the Boards of Directors for the Great Smoky Mountains Conservation Association and for the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley.
Leonard J. Shore
Vice President and General Counsel
Leonard Shore is cofounder of BioTraceIT™. He is an attorney with over 30 years of experience in the private sector. Leonard and Deborah teamed to form BioTraceIT™. Mr. Shore has acted as general counsel (and investor) to several high-tech startups. He has been general counsel to four companies which became publicly traded (OTC) entities, including Nastech Pharmaceutical, one of the first companies to seek FDA approval to utilize nasal delivery of recognized pharmaceuticals.
John J. Picchiottino, MSEE
Director of Engineering
John has been an electrical engineer associated with the development and manufacturing of biofeedback devices since 1969 and has received numerous FDA 510(k) approvals for products he developed. He has expertise in the design, production and sale of medical electronic instrumentation for recording low level electro-physiologic signals. He worked closely on PainTrace® for many years. John brings a wealth of knowledge in hardware technologies to our team.
Sherri Matis-Mitchell, PhD
Data Analytics Scientist
Innovation has been a constant partner in Sherri’s career as a researcher in the biomedical sciences. She has received multiple awards in leadership, text analytics, and decision support, including a R&D 100 Award from Oak Ridge National Laboratory for innovation in predictive modeling during the 17+ years spent in AstraZeneca’s R&D. Diversity is also a common theme in Sherri’s work where she has merged tools, methodologies, information, and analytics from many disparate disciplines to create knowledge and gain insight to solve problems. Most importantly, Sherri is achieving her lifelong goal to reduce sickness and pain plus improve quality in both human and animal lives by working to develop predictive systems for analysis as well as new treatments for disease by exploiting and extracting legacy data and information from published literature and structured sources.
Anthony Williams
Chair Strategic Commercialization Partners Committee
Anthony Williams is a partner in Dentons’ Corporate practice in the New York office. He focuses on commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and financings for US and non-US clients. He also counsels domestic and multi-national corporations on all securities law topics and corporate finance matters. The Legal 500 has recognized Tony for his M&A experience.
In addition to his extensive transactional practice, Tony acts as general counsel to family offices and private foundations and advises on all of their legal and business needs. After working in its Hong Kong office and founding its San Francisco office, Tony served as Chairman of Coudert Brothers LLP from 1993 to 2001. He has deep international experience in financial management, investments, accounting and business development. He is a veteran of the United States Army.
